What's Happening in Tulsa: July 3rd - 9th

It's Independence Day week and Tulsa is celebrating with a bang. Enjoy all of your favorite American activities across the city with a variety of events. From fireworks to pool parties, you'll enjoy repping the red, white, and blue all week long.

Celebrate your freedom at River West Festival Park and Veterans Park, this fourth of July, at 5:00 PM. Quik Trip presents Folds of Honor Freedom Fest. With live music, inflatables, food trucks, and a massive firework show after sundown, it's no wonder that 80,000 spectators come to the event each year. KRMG (740 AM and 102.3 FM) is a proud sponsor and will be syncing a musical score to the firework show for extra entertainment. No matter what you're doing for Independence Day, make sure your plans include a visit to Folds of Honor Freedom Fest.

Now that summer is in full swing, you could probably use a cool drink. On July 6th, beginning at 6:00 PM, head to Foolish Things Coffee for their Route 66 Shandy Shin Dig. The coffee shop is teaming up with American Solera, Scissortail Provisions, and Oklahoma Route 66 to create unique and delicious shandys. With ingredients like Foolish Things' house lemonade and American Solera's beer, you'll be able to beat the heat in a tasty way. Brats with Scissortale Provision's kraut comes in a mouth-watering dinner box, so make sure you and your friends come hungry.

Every first Friday of the month, the Brady Arts District plays host to the First Friday Art Crawl. This event is a favorite amongst locals, and it's no wonder why! Street performers, local crafters, museums, musicians, and much more are available for your entertainment. Visit the Brady Arts District on July 7th, at 6:00 PM.

Fuel 66 is hosting a Bring Your Own Pool Party on July 8th, starting at 11:00 AM. Beat the heat with food trucks, live music, water balloons, patio games, cocktails, and more! Bring your own pool and claim your spot. With their famous crawfish boil, your tastebuds will want for nothing.

Soccer is the world's most watched sport. So, join the masses and cheer on the U.S. team as they face off against Panama in the 2017 Gold Cup. The watch party is happening at Empire Bar on July 8th, starting at 3:00 PM. We know you have leftover American flag socks and baseball caps from all the Independence Day festivities. Wear your stars and stripes and support your team with pride. \

This week in Tulsa is all about pride for the U.S.A. Show off your love for your country, thank those who have fought for our rights, and have a drink or two.
